Scope
This legal notice covers Julian Fietkau’s personal website, including any pages as well as other media available under the hostnames fietkau.me, fietkau.science, fietkau.software, fietkau.media and fietkau.plus (hereafter “the website”). It is owned and operated by Julian Fietkau (hereafter “the provider”).
Please note that fietkau.social is using different technical infrastructure and is not under the scope of this document. It has its own privacy policy.
Privacy Notice
The website receives and stores basic user data as part of the normal web navigation process, specifically including visitors’ IP address, user agent identifier, and potentially referrer information. This data is used for automated threat analysis and attack mitigation, as well as fully anonymous usage analytics. It is not collated with visitors’ personal identities and not shared with any third parties (except with law enforcement or the justice system, if given a lawful inquiry). The website does not use cookies or any comparable client-side data storage technologies. The website may use client-side preference configuration, such as CSS dark mode detection, for a personalized usage experience.
The website is hosted in Germany. The handling of the above-mentioned data occurs on infrastructure commercially provided by Hetzner Online GmbH. Inquiries regarding the website, whether legal or otherwise, should first be addressed to the provider using the contact details at the top of this page. Hetzner Online GmbH is not responsible for the content or operation of the website.
